From Georgia Organics:
Crop planning can save you time and minimize stress when looking towards the future. Although putting projections down on paper isn’t the most exciting thing about farming, it certainly is important. Whether you’re planning for a farmers' market, a CSA, restaurants, wholesale accounts or all of the above, working from a crop rotation can also help you manage your land to slot in cover cropping while still ensuring you meet your yield goals.
Join us for a field trip to Oxford Organic Farm where you'll see a solid field rotation in action followed by lunch and a presentation on this tried-and-true model that can be used for any sized farm. Stay after to participate in a working session where you can begin or continue to build out your farm’s 2022 crop plan with the help of Daniel Parson and GO Farmer Services staff.
If you are a diversified fruit and vegetable farmer, a farmer that wants to increase production, a farmer with a CSA, a farmer interested in Organic certification or a farmer looking to integrate or get better at cover cropping (or maybe all of the above), this field day is for you!
