2019 UGA Extension Gwinnett Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program
UGA Extension Gwinnett will host the Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program for new and beginning farmers in July and August 2019. The educational program consists of two parts:
Small Farm Business Planning module is composed of four sessions that address financial matters that small farmers need to understand. Presenters are from the UGA Small Business Development Center. Sessions will be held over two days: Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on both days. The Small Fruit & Vegetable Production module covers a multitude of subjects relating to crop production. Sessions will be held on Thursday, August 1, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and Saturday, August 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. On Thursday, August 1, attendees will visit the small learning farm at Gwinnett Technical College, an experiential classroom for the school’s urban agriculture training program.

Both sessions will be in the second-floor conference room of the Gwinnett County Government Annex Building, located at 750 South Perry St., Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
