Georgia Organics will host a Farmer Field Day: Climate Smart Grazing & Pasture Management on Monday, March 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Deep Grass Graziers in Fitzgerald, GA. Deep Grass Graziers raises grass fed and finished beef on land that has been farmed by the family for four generations.
This field day is aimed at ranchers who want to learn more rotational grazing, bale grazing and forage/pasture management. Dan Glenn, owner/operator of Deep Grass Graziers will be on hand to discuss grazing strategies, forage management and business and marketing tips for grassfed beef. Philip Brown, state grazing specialist for NRCS will provide details on forage management and cover the NRCS Bale/Swath grazing initiative. We will finish the field day with a farm tour, where attendees can get a visual of all principles discussed in the presentations.
