Attendees will spend the afternoon learning tractor safety and education as well as strategies for utilizing tractors to optimize soil health and gain a deeper understanding of cover cropping using a tractor with Sedrick Rowe of Rowe Organic Farms.
This field day is for any beginning farmer or farmer looking to gain knowledge on tractor safety. Attendees will walk away with:
Basic understanding of how to optimize soil health using a tractor
Basic understanding of cover cropping using a tractor
Education on tractor safety
Taking the prerequisite tractor safety course with Little Fox Tractor School – attendees will now be able to take more advanced tractor courses with Lindy and Daniel as they become available
Daniel Guzman has farmed in Georgia for the last 10 years. Prior to farming, he worked as a mechanic at General Motors Company (GMC), where he repaired and modified industrial machines and equipment. Now Daniel is sharing his experience by teaching tractor safety and maintenance lessons. Lindy Kloepfer has owned and operated Little Fox Farm for the last 6 years. Sedrick Kent Rowe Jr. is an organic peanut farmer from Albany, GA. He attended Fort Valley State University and after, worked for the Southwest Georgia Project under Mrs. Shirley Sherrod. Sedrick is a first-generation farmer and started out with 10 Certified Organic acres where he grows Certified Organic peanuts and sunflowers.

This rate reflects the cost of the workshop including labor for organizing, the expertise of presenters, and behind-the-scenes efforts like marketing and promotions – while allowing Georgia Organics to generate a profit that will further support our ability to host these events in the future. We encourage those with access to wealth or financial security to opt for this tier.
Sustainable Ticket: $25
This rate reflects the true cost of the workshop, labor, and expertise. If all attendees pay this rate, Georgia Organics will cover the cost of the event. We encourage those who find the General Ticket out of reach to select this ticket.
Solidarity Ticket: $15
This rate reflects our intention to make our workshops and field days accessible to all! Opt for this ticket if General or Sustainable are not accessible options for you right now.

We want to ensure everyone who wants to attend a workshop will be able to do so! If you are experiencing financial hardship and would like to attend but are unable to do so due to registration fees, Georgia Organics will offer a discount or full scholarship. We recognize that everyone’s situation is unique and there are circumstances beyond income, please reach out to us via email (kayla@georgiaorganics.org) to get registered.
COVID POLICY
Georgia Organics is committed to offering safe and healthy events and educational experiences for everyone in the community during the ongoing pandemic. We are limiting the capacity for all in-person events to 25 people (including staff and presenters). Georgia Organics will require event participants to comply with the following protocols:
Show proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event at check-in
Complete a pre-attendance self-evaluation health screening
Wear a properly fitted face mask for the duration of the event (except while eating/ drinking) regardless of your vaccination status
Practice physical distancing
We ask that individuals (attendees, event hosts, and staff) do not attend an in-person event if they or anyone in their household are displaying any of the following symptoms: Fever (100.4F or higher), Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Diarrhea, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, and New loss of taste or smell.
If we deem it unsafe to move forward with an in-person event, Georgia Organics staff will contact event registrants to notify them about any event cancellations. We will provide refunds for all tickets purchased and if an event registrant is displaying any of the above symptoms, refunds will be issued without penalty.
Georgia Organics will continue to offer events in alternative formats (virtual) or with specific safety-focused changes. We ask that event attendees please review our individual event pages for the most up-to-date information and protocols to follow during our events and resect the guidelines we have outlined, as our staff and community's health and safety are of the utmost importance.
