This workshop is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served, and registration is required. Registration ends Friday, January 24 at 5:00PM.
This workshop will increase area residents' knowledge of at-risk, threatened, and endangered wildlife and aquatic species along with voluntary conservation programs to prevent further loss and to protect critical habitat across the state of Georgia.
Hear from experts on aquatic biology, native plants, pollination and more as they educate landowners about at-risk, threatened, and endangered wildlife and plant species in our eco-region. Participants will learn ways to work toward conservation of as many species as possible through voluntary and innovative measures.
Curriculum for the workshop is based in part upon the Information, Planning, and Consultation System (IPaC) developed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). IPaC offers the ability to obtain an informal list of endangered species, critical habitat, migratory birds, wildlife refuges, and wetlands (collectively referred to as trust resources) under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (USFWS) jurisdiction that are known or expected to be on or near the project area.
Funding for this workshop is provided through a grant from U.S. Department of Agriculture National Resource Conservation Service (USDA/NRCS) and Golden Triangle Resource Conservation & Development Council.
