Application Deadline May 31: Georgia Farmers Market Nutrition Program

Farmers interested in participating in Georgia WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program markets must attend one-day virtual trainings on program policies, procedures, and civil rights responsibilities.

Successful completion of this training is required for all farmers interested in participating in the 2021 Georgia FMNP season. All farmers who register to attend the training must mail or email copies of the following documents to the State Program Office:

  • A completed farmer application packet by May 31, 2021. A mailed packet must be postmarked by May 31, 2021. Completed application packets must include an Application, Training Checklist, (2) signed and dated Farmer Agreements, a Signed Code of Conduct and Signed Statement of Attestation

  • A copy of the deed or lease agreement for the land where produce is grown (if a letter from the property owner is used to document the lease agreement, the letter must be notarized) *

  • A letter from the local Farm Service Agency or Cooperative Extension documenting farmer’s status as a Georgia Grower*

*Proof of land ownership or lease agreement, copy of the letter from a Farm Service Agency or Cooperative Extension is not required if the farm is "Certified Organic", and copies of such certification are submitted with the completed application packet.
